Rule Update Notice

The rules were updated on 20 January 2010.

I would like to take this time to point out that it would be much appreciated if all of you could re-read the rules and do your best to follow them. Some of our newer members may need to read the rules for the first time.

I don't like being heavy-handed with moderation, but the attitude I've noticed here as of late is... irritating. So much so that should this activity continue, the banhammer may need to be taken out of storage.

On a serious note, I like the update on the rules, and the fact that you asked to re-read the rules.

I think the rules page should pop up when you register for the site, followed by a quiz on the rules to make sure you read them. Probably be a little difficult to set up, but...

I've actually seen a few forums that have the final registration and the rules on the same page, and before you press the sign me in button, there's a timer on which is the time spent reading the rules.
