One thin it does happen to me, after a while, it speeds up for like 30 sec. then slows back to normal? any ideas?

I'd assume so. It's probably the only time-based system that does that spontaneously. $:-\$

Yeah, DOS/NT isn't the best when it comes to keep track of time.

The BIOS Hardware is best at keeping time.
